German Army Kuebel-Wagen Type 82

This vehicle was manufactured in Germany, November 12, 1944. It is an Ambulance version and is one of 50,435 Type 82s made between 1939 and 1945. Developed from the  pre-war "Volkswagen" or "Peoples Car", designed by Ferdinand Porsche, German Army in North Africa and throughout Russia and Europe. The engine is a Volkswagen, air-cooled, "flat four" developing about 25 hp from 69 cubic inch displacement. Equipped with a 4 speed transmission this 2 wheel drive vehicle weighed about 2590 pounds loaded.
